Red roses, dark cherry and blackberry.
Oak tones show though as white pepper spice, clove and sandalwood. Layers of meatiness and flintiness, making a compelling argument to give the wine some time in the glass with oxygen.
On the palate are red fruit notes of dark cherry, raspberry jam and hints of freshly picked strawberry.
Oak spices come to the fore with earthy notes and sandalwood; leading into a blood orange, Campari-esc finish.
The texture washes over the palate like suede with tannins that melt into the mouth.
